Obama for America 2012 New York State Director, Robert Diamond, Endorses Ken Biberaj for 6th District City Council Seat
New York City (April 3, 2013)- Democratic City Council Candidate (6th district - Upper West Side), Ken Biberaj, has been endorsed by Robert Diamond, the 2012 Obama for America New York State Director.
“I believe that the future of this City lies in the hard work and talent of progressive leaders like Ken Biberaj”, says Diamond. “I have seen firsthand Ken’s dedication to his community, and his campaign reflects the belief that people can empower their communities to make positive change. Ken has what it takes to keep this City moving forward, I am proud to support Ken in his efforts to become the next City Councilman for the Upper West Side.”

Before his time on the Obama campaign, Robert served for seven years as an officer in the United States Navy. A Surface Warfare Officer by training, he was stationed onboard the guided missile destroyer USS BULKELEY (DDG-84) and completed deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Robert served as the aide to the Navy's Chief of Legislative Affairs in the Pentagon, and as a Navy liaison officer to the U.S. House of Representatives. He is a Security Fellow with the Truman National Security Project and a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He speaks and publishes regularly on issues related to national security, the military and veterans affairs.
